Kafi Waters creates digital transformation at the intersection of design, strategy, and technology. A human-centered designer, she creates customer-centric online tools and interactive experiences for non-profits, associations and Fortune 500 companies. Thriving in ambiguity, Kafi uses design thinking methodologies to deliver strategic recommendations. From insights, she ideates, prototypes and tests new business concepts to ensure design solutions are viable, feasible and desirable.

A cross-functional catalyst, she serves as a Technology and Business Solutions Project Manager and Innovation Champion at AARP Foundation, leading teams responsible for building online tools for low-income older adults. Through Creative Instigators, Kafi offers design thinking consulting and workshops. She has co-produced UXCamp DC and UXCamp NYC since their inception in 2010.

Kafi earned her BA in Art History from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and her Master of Business Administration in Strategic Design from Jefferson University.
